Grounding Control Device EKX-4
Safe Discharge of Electrostatic Charges
Functional Principle
EKX-4 ensures static electricity is discharged to the ground by a grounding cable and continuously monitors the grounding quality. Only if the connected object is detected and grounded properly, the electronic control outputs will switch and filling release will be signaled by green, widely visible LEDs. If there is an interruption of the grounding connection, this will be shown by red LEDs, the filling process will be interrupted immediately.

Overfill Prevention Controller EUS-2

Functional Principle
The Overfill Prevention Controller EUS-2 is the central part of the overfill prevention system according to European VOC Directive 94/63/EC and American API RP 1004, EUS-2 monitors the level sensors at the tanker compartments, the truck grounding and the vapor recovery connection. The filling process is interrupted immediately at the loading gantry. If a critical situation is detected. The controller is able to detect the type of truck installation and activates the required operating mode automatically. This interoperability allows to load trucks of different carriers.

Marine Grounding System SEK-3
Best Practive by Monitoring of Compensation Current
Functional Principle
SEK-3 establishes a monitored equipotential bonding of very low resistance between ship and pier which counteracts the physical effect of electrical potential difference. This explosion protection measure prevents uncontrolled sparking when handling conductive elements at the terminal. In addition, the SEK-3 signals unsafe situations (such as over-voltage or over-current caused by active sources) by flashing LEDs and switching off the corresponding control outputs.
